What You'll Do

The Associate Software Engineer will work as part of Eaton's Brightlayer Cloud team and contribute to the development of an Internet of Things platform.

Development & Implementation

• Work with the team and other stakeholders on the architecture, design, and implementation of an IoT platform.

• Develop software primarily using C# and Python.

• Write high-quality and unit-tested code.

• Demonstrate and document solutions using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments.

Design & Code Reviews

• Provide work estimates for assigned tasks.

• Participate in software design and implementation activities.

• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.

Agile Development

• Execute Agile work plans for iterative and incremental project delivery.

• Collaborate with team members to complete project requirements.

Learning & Development

• Expand technical knowledge by studying software development techniques and programming languages.

• Participate in educational opportunities.

• Keep learning new technologies and concepts relevant to software development.

Testing & Debugging

• Work with test teams to ensure adequate test case coverage.

• Investigate and fix software bugs.

• Create automated test scripts.

Qualifications

• Educational Degree: B.E./B.Tech

• Experience: 0–2 years of progressive experience in the software industry developing, designing, and deploying technology solutions.
